The Days Before Today

Isabelle Georges and Frédérik Steenbrink started working on Une étoile et moi (Judy and Me) after they met on the European premiere of Maury Yeston's, Titanic, the Musical in December 2000 in Liège (Belgium).

Frédérik suggested to Isabelle that she write a personal show about the one who inspired her to become a performer. A few months later Isabelle wrote the first scenes together with playwright and casting director Stéphane Foenkinos.

Previews were given in September 2001, in several Parisian theaters, after which they met and started working with producer Yannick Quennehen (Ondine Productions), record producer Eric Dufaure (Beluga Productions), director Isabelle Gomez, costume designer Michel Dussarrat, and choreographer Victor Cuno.

The record was recorded in August 2002, and released on Comotion/ Next Music.

The show opened on October 8th, 2002 at the Kiron Espace Theater in Paris, and ran successfully for over three months, then toured to many other cities and venues.

In September 2003, several performances were given in The Netherlands where they met and started working with tour manager Suzanne van Dommelen (Bruins Theatermanagement).

By Myself (former English title of Judy and Me) toured in The Netherlands in February and March 2005 before going to The 2005 Edinburgh Fringe Festival at Sweet Ego.

After a run of 26 nonstop performances, Judy and Me was booked at the Harrogate Theatre for their 2005 Christmas run and ran succesfully for another 23 performances.

After a few extra performances in 2006 in The Netherlands (by Martine Equille RP), Judy and Me was booked to be among the highlights of the Adelaide Cabaret Festival in June 2007.

Isabelle Georges and Frédérik Steenbrink will give two special performances of their new show I Wish You Love with a backline of 3 Australian musicians.

In November 2007 and February 2008 Judy and Me will be on tour again in the UK and the Netherlands.
